Sheriff Ken J. Mascara Will Chair 4 Our Kids Campaign

Press Release: October 24, 2009

New Horizons CEO John Romano proudly announced that Sheriff Ken J. Mascara has taken over the reins as Honorary Chairman of the 4 Our Kids capital campaign for the construction of the 20-bed Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit on Midway Road in Fort Pierce.

“Sheriff Mascara has always been a generous and considerate neighbor to New Horizons”, stated Romano; “and we look forward to his support and help to raise the funds for the construction of this Children’s Crisis Center.

“We look to members of our community to step up and support this desperately needed facility which will render emergency treatment to the children of our four-county community”, stated Sheriff Mascara.  “New Horizons has delivered mental health and substance abuse treatment on the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee for more than 50 years; it is now time for the community to ‘give something back’ to New Horizons by supporting this endeavor”.

“I hope that you will join me and my co-Chair, Jane Rowley, by investing in New Horizons and helping them to make the Children’s Crisis Unit a reality”, added Sheriff Mascara.
