The 2009 Best Places to Work in St. Lucie County Awards were announced at a Ceremony held at Tradition Town Hall on September 30th, 2009.  John Romano, President  and CEO was delighted when he heard New Horizons of the Treasure Coast called to the podium.  “We have participated in this effort for the last several years and I know that our Human Resources Department will be thrilled about this recognition”, said Romano.  “This award will be shared with every member of our staff as they are the people who made this happen.”  New Horizons was recognized in the category of 50-250 employees.

According to Gerry Hoeffner, who described the criteria that the St. Lucie County Human Resources Association relies on to select Award recipients, there are 37 measurements used, including turnover, growth, training, benefits, profit sharing, and working environment to name a few.
