New Horizons Appoints New Director

of New Horizons of the Treasure Coast Inc., announced that Patricia Daum has
joined the organization as Director of Fund Development.
As New Horizons moves forward with plans to build a children’s crisis center,
Daum will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the capital campaign.
She will also be in charge of developing an annual fund raising program and
communications plan for the organization.
“We are very fortunate to have Pat join the New Horizons team,” said Romano.
“She is the perfect combination for our organization……a successful fundraising
professional with mental health experience.”
The new director has an extensive background in fundraising, including a 12 year
career with United Way. She recently served 4 ˝ years with the United Way of
Martin County where she was Director of Major Gifts and Director of the United
Way Foundation. She also worked with the Mental Health Association in Memphis,
TN for six years as Executive Director and Director of Development.
“I feel like my career has come full circle,” said Daum. “I have always had a
soft spot in my heart for children’s programs and when New Horizons approached
me about this desperately needed children’s crisis center, I couldn’t say no.”

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast, Inc. is the primary provider of behavioral
health services for adults and children in four counties. The main campus is
located on Midway Road in St. Lucie County and there are outpatient centers in
Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties.
