New Horizons Launches Residential Substance Abuse Services
Release Date: July, 2009
The Independence Recovery program at New Horizons, an adult, Level 2 residential treatment program will provide a therapeutic community for individuals in need of substance abuse treatment. This affordable, 28-day program will serve men and women 18 years and older. It is located at New Horizons Midway Road Campus, 4500 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL.
Clinical services provided have an emphasis on developing the knowledge base and necessary skills to remain substance free. The treatment philosophy is based on the
12-Step model, incorporating recovery and evidenced based treatment modalities. This is a co-occurring capable program, meaning that services are designed to include those who have a co-occurring mental health issue as well as those who do not.
A variety of clinical groups and activities will be utilized to achieve the program goals; one of which is the empowerment of each individual to take responsibility for and direct their recovery process.
“We are very excited to be adding this new component to our already established services,” stated New Horizons CEO, John Romano. “We will open this program for up to six clients in a wing of our Substance Abuse Services Facility.”
An open house is planned for Friday, July 31 between the hours of 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at 4500 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce, and we will begin services on Monday, August 3, 2009.
Donna Molnar, the Program Manager will be available to answer any question about the program. She may be contacted at 772-468-5600.
