Jupiter Firm Donates Design Services

Press Release:  March 25, 2008

New Horizons is pleased to announce that Gentile Holloway O’Mahoney and Associates has donated their landscape design services for the Children’s Crisis Center.  “We are thankful for this very generous donation,” said Pat Daum, Director of Development.

“The professionals at GHO have created a wonderful kid-friendly design for the Center.  Instead of a stark institutional look, the center will feature a beautiful entry and a separate meditation garden where families will find a peaceful corner to relax,” she said.

“Each year our company selects one or two organizations to assist and for 2008 we selected New Horizons,” said George Gentile, President of GHO. “The Crisis Center is a very worthy project and we are glad to help.”

“We are working on several projects in St. Lucie County and feel it is important to give back to the community,” he said.

Gentile Holloway O’Mahoney and Associates was founded in 1988.  They are located in Jupiter, Florida and are recognized as one of South Florida’s leading Landscape Design Firms.

“We are grateful for GHO’s contribution to the Children’s Crisis Center,” said Daum.  “The landscape design was another important step that we needed to complete.  Thanks to GHO, we are on track for a summer ground breaking.”

A $4 million capital campaign is under way to fund the center, which will be built on 10 acres next to New Horizon’s main campus at 4500 Midway Road.  The Crisis Center will serve children ages 6-12 who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis.
