Okeechobee Friends of New Horizons Surprise Dr. Brown

Dr. Fred Brown was surprised recently when the Okeechobee Friends of New Horizons made an unexpected visit to his office.  Marie Culbreth and Ruth Yeilding presented a scrapbook to Dr. Brown that was filled with mementoes of the group’s November tribute that honored him.  Dr. Brown is a beloved pediatrician who has been taking care of Okeechobee children for more than 28 years. 

Yeilding spent months creating the leather bound remembrance that was filled with photos, cards and personal notes of appreciation. “My family loves Dr. Brown,” she said.  “He has been an important part of our family and thanks to him we have raised three healthy children.”  “This was very kind of Ruth to make this scrapbook for me,” said Brown.  “The Tribute was a special night for me and my family and an evening that I will always treasure.”
