Okeechobee Friends of New Horizons of Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast & 4 Our Kids Capital Campaign
The Okeechobee Friends of New Horizons of Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast recently gathered for an update on the recent groundbreaking of the 4 Our Kids capital campaign. Also on the agenda was an update on New Horizons 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Dance which was held in the fall.
Cathleen Owen, the new Director of Fund Development for New Horizons was introduced at the meeting by Patricia Daum, who has decided to retire from that position.
The 4 Our Kids capital campaign will support the new Children’s Crisis Unit which will be constructed on Midway Road in Fort Pierce. The center will provide emergency treatment for boys and girls ages 6-17 who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Children from Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties will be served.
