Planned Gifts

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast, Inc. provides additional ways for our generous donors to make significant, long-lasting improvements in the quality of life for the people of our community.  By including New Horizons in your estate planning, you continue your legacy of caring and ensure the future of programs that are vital to our community.

Ways to Care

Bequests by Will

Naming New Horizons in your will is one of the easiest ways to make a lasting expression of your charitable concern.  Bequests may be in the form of a stated dollar amount, property, a percentage or the residual of an estate.  Please click here for sample bequest language.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between you and New Horizons.  Your contribution of cash or marketable securities goes to New Horizons and you receive a guaranteed income for life. Upon your death, the annuity balance remains with New Horizons.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

You create a trust that generates income for you (and other beneficiaries of your choosing).  The income can be paid over a period of years or over a lifetime.  At the end of the designated time period, the remaining trust assets pass to New Horizons.

Life Insurance

Life insurance is another simple way to make a lasting gift to New Horizons.  Examples:  You can name New Horizons as the beneficiary of an existing policy; purchase a new policy for the benefit of New Horizons; or give a paid-up policy you already own to New Horizons.

Retirement Plans

Individuals may choose to name New Horizons as the beneficiary of their retirement plans.

Immediate Gifts

You may choose to make an immediate gift to New Horizons.  Immediate gifts can be made in the form of cash, check, credit card, stock, securities, real estate and other property.
